Listen to the welcome introduction
To briefly introduce myself my name is Danelle Wolfe and I will be your instructor for this Gender, Sex and Sexuality class. I am a student at Empire State College and am going for my master’s degree in Adult Learning with a concentration in gender, sex and sexuality. I have two bachelor’s degrees. The first is in Business, Management and Economics, the second is in Cultural Studies with a concentration in Writing. I have lived in twenty states. I have written two books, an autobiographical anthology and a how to pet physic reading book for owners of pets. Both yet to be published. I have also written a screenplay based on a hate crime I was involved in, 2008. On a personal note, I am a cisgender woman where my gender identity corresponds with that of my biological sex assigned at birth . My biological sex is female and my sexuality is pansexual. I live in sunny Sarasota with my two kids with paws, my cats.
Good Luck!
Through a distributed learning environment Twitter you can contact me @Mymodule1

We all have a story to tell
Evelyn Cole commented, “Humans are story-tellers. Everyone has a story to tell because everyone uses language to share visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, and kinesthetic memories.

Empathy.org, stated, “Empathy has long been an intrinsic part of the educational system, if schools are involved in intellectual, they are inherently involved in emotional (para. Hilton, 2008, p. 90).
Not only must teachers have empathy for their students in order to best teach them, they must develop this skill in their students, “Expressing care for another is not an innate ability…” (Hilton, 2008, p. 90).
